Can't sign into Microsoft on Samsung S10 and S24.

I can't seem to sign into Microsoft on my old Samsung S10 and my new S24.

The problem began on my old Samsung S10. On all Microsoft apps after I enter my email address nothing would happen and it just gets stuck. I tried all sorts of things - deleting catche data, uninstalling all Microsoft apps etc but no luck so I thought it was my phone being too old so I got a new Samsung S24. Unfortunately, this has not worked and the same problem is on my S24. Whenever I type me email address in and press enter nothing happens or it gets stuck. However, I can sign into my Microsoft account on my PC fine.

Please help!

    Hi, Leonard Sonntag

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

This usually isn’t your account, it’s the Android sign-in page inside Microsoft apps freezing, often because the phone’s WebView/Chrome component (what renders the login screen) is outdated or has a corrupted cache.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

In Google Play, update Android System WebView and Google Chrome, then reboot the phone. Microsoft app sign-in relies on these, and a bad build can make the email screen “do nothing.”

Clear cache for Android System WebView and Chrome, then clear cache/data for the Microsoft app you’re signing into. This resets stuck sign-in cookies and redirects.

Set Date & time and Time zone to Automatic. If the clock is off, sign-in can hang during security checks.

Temporarily switch Wi‑Fi > mobile data (or the other way), and disable VPN, Private DNS, or ad blockers. Those can block the login redirect loop.

Quick workaround: sign in on a webpage first (bing.com or office.com in Chrome), then go back to the Microsoft app and try again. This can “seed” the session and avoid the stuck embedded login.

Hope this helps. Feel free to get back if you need further assistance.
