I need to implement my changed name in my profile in order to schedule my exam, my last name is changed due to marriage and I can't do that in settings

For Microsoft certification exams, the name used for scheduling must match the legal name on the government-issued ID shown at the exam.

On Microsoft Learn, this is controlled by the Legal Name field, which cannot always be freely edited in Settings once used for exams. When a legal name needs to be corrected or changed (for example, after marriage), the change requires Microsoft support intervention.

Use the official certification support channel to request a legal name update:

2. Open a support request for exam/profile issues.
3. Explain that the last name changed due to marriage and that the Legal Name on the Learn/certification profile must be updated so it matches the ID for exam scheduling.

After support updates the legal name, use that updated profile to schedule the exam.
