I understand that the Yes/No column previously appeared as a toggle/switch style button and is now displaying as a checkbox.
I have tested the same scenario on my side by creating a new blank modern list and adding a new Yes/No column. The result is consistent; the column is displayed as a checkbox in the default view, grid view, and item form. This confirms that the behavior is not related to a specific list, site configuration, or tenant.
At this time, the Yes/No column in modern SharePoint lists is designed to appear as a single checkbox when entering or editing information. The toggle-style control is no longer shown in the current UI experience.
There is currently no built-in setting to switch the column back to a toggle format. If this change impacts your usability requirements, we recommend submitting feedback directly to the product team via the following link:
