MS-102 Certification Status Enquiry

Good day,

I hope you are well.

I wrote the MS-102 exam four days ago, and the portal currently shows that I have passed. However, my certificate has not yet been issued.

Kindly assist in advising on the status of the certificate and when I can expect it to be available.

Exams are not certifications. The MS-102 exam is only part of the requirements for the Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert certification. Upon checking, passing the MS‑102: Microsoft 365 Administrator exam by itself does not automatically generate a certificate.

Just to set expectation, you must also hold at least one of the following:

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator
• Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate

Exam results typically appear in the Learn profile within minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours for results and related certification status to fully update. Since the portal already shows a pass after four days, the next step for missing or delayed certificates is to contact the dedicated Microsoft Credentials Support team so they can check the certification status on the account and issue or fix the certificate if needed.

To do this:

1. Go to the Microsoft Credentials Support portal: https://aka.ms/credentialssupport.
2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to register and take the MS-102 exam.
3. Complete the required contact details and save.
4. Open the same link again and submit a support request under Product Family: Learning and Service: Microsoft Credentials, describing that MS-102 shows as passed but the certificate is not available.

Support can verify the exam result, confirm the certification status for “Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert” (which requires MS-102 plus a qualifying prerequisite certification), and help make the certificate and badge available in the Learn profile.

In the meantime, also check the Learn profile directly:

1. Sign in to Microsoft Learn.
2. Open the profile and go to the “Credentials” or “Certifications” tab to see if the certification and downloadable certificate have appeared.

If the certification does not appear there despite the exam showing as passed, Microsoft Credentials Support is the correct escalation path.
