I am being billed for multiple subscriptions and I don't know why. Please help. I want to keep Microsoft 365 Personal. I don't know what the other one is.

Log into any Microsoft account you may have on this link and check if you have more than one subscription:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

If you find more than one subscription associated to your account(s), you can use the steps provided on this link to check your eligibility for a refund and to cancel the subscription, you should also disable any recurring billing on any subscription, except the one you want to keep.

If you are unable to find more than one subscription on any Microsoft account you may have, go to the Payments and Billing section, are you able to find extra payments listed on your account(s) indicating you have more than one subscription.

Follow these steps to identify and stop the extra subscription while keeping Microsoft 365 Personal:

    1. Check which subscriptions exist
      1. Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      2. Sign in with the Microsoft account used for Microsoft 365 Personal.
      3. Review the list of subscriptions and note:
        • Any Microsoft 365 plans listed (for example, Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, or Business).
        • Any other paid subscriptions that have recurring billing turned on.
    2. Investigate unexpected or duplicate charges
      1. Go to the Manage your payments page from your Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate next to the payment method that shows unexpected charges. Learn more.
      2. Common reasons for multiple charges include:
        • A Microsoft subscription with recurring billing enabled on more than one account.
        • Multiple accounts (for example, another family member) using the same card.
        • A previously declined charge that later succeeded.
      3. Also review your order history to confirm which products each charge is for and whether there are duplicate payments. Review your order history.
    3. Check for subscriptions on another Microsoft account If only one subscription appears under the account used for Microsoft 365 Personal, there may be another Microsoft account with its own subscription using the same card.
      1. Go to Payment options in your Microsoft account and select Investigate to search for other accounts using your card. Go to payment options.
      2. If another account is found with a separate Microsoft 365 subscription, sign in to that account and review its Services & subscriptions page.
    4. Cancel the subscription that is not needed Once the extra subscription is identified (for example, a second Microsoft 365 plan or another service):
      1. Sign in to the account that owns the subscription.
      2. Go to Services & subscriptions.
      3. Select Manage for the subscription that should be stopped.
      4. Choose Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
Canceling a subscription does not remove the Microsoft account itself; the account and email address remain available.
    5. If charges came from a third-party (for example, a retailer or Amazon) If the billing description or order history shows that one Microsoft 365 subscription was purchased through a third-party retailer and another directly from Microsoft, contact the retailer to cancel and request a refund for their subscription, as in the example where a user was billed by both Amazon and Microsoft for Microsoft 365 Family.
    6. If double billing or unclear charges remain If, after these checks, there are still unexplained duplicate charges or billing across multiple cards, contact Microsoft Billing Support so the billing team can securely review and correct the account and charges:
      • Use the guidance in How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft to start from your Microsoft account dashboard and use the Investigate option.
      • If needed, use the contact options at https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/ and choose Billing and Payment updates to chat with a support agent.

This approach keeps Microsoft 365 Personal active while identifying and cancelling any extra subscription that is causing additional charges.
