Where did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer, and if so, do you have the product key?

Or is your Windows licence based on a previous Windows 7 or 8 licence?

Click your Start Button, type cmd then right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run or paste this command and hit Enter:

    slmgr.vbs /dlv

Please post a screenshot of the resulting dialog

Windows 11 reports a key as “useless” when it is invalid for the installed edition, already used on too many devices, or not found on the device.

    Try these steps:

    1. Confirm Windows edition and key match
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Activation.
      • Check which edition is installed (for example, Windows 11 Home or Pro).
      • If the key is for a different edition (for example, an Enterprise or Pro key on Home), enter a key that matches the installed edition. Errors like 0xC004F00F or 0xC004F034 indicate a mismatched or invalid key.
    2. Run the Activation troubleshooter
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Activation.
      • If Windows is not activated, select Troubleshoot.
      • Follow the prompts. The troubleshooter can fix common issues or detect if the device has a digital license for a different edition and guide through switching editions.
    3. Check for overused or blocked keys
      • If the error is 0xC004C003, 0xC004C008, 0xC004C770, or 0x803FA071, the key is invalid or has been used on more devices than allowed.
      • In this case, a different, unique product key is required. If the device or key came from a reseller and was expected to be valid, contact the seller or device manufacturer.
    4. If this is a pre‑owned or pre‑installed PC
      • For a used PC, the previous owner may have reused the key on too many devices. Request the original Windows product key from the seller. If it does not work, a new key or copy of Windows is required.
      • For a brand‑new PC with Windows preinstalled that fails activation on first use, contact the device manufacturer.
    5. If hardware was changed
      • Significant hardware changes (like motherboard replacement) can break activation and cause errors such as 0xC004F211 or 0xC004F213.
      • If there is a valid product key previously used on this device, go to Start > Settings > System > Activation > Change product key and enter it.
      • If the license was linked to a Microsoft account, sign in with that account and use Activation > Troubleshoot to try the “reactivate after a hardware change” path.

If none of these steps work and the key continues to be rejected as invalid or overused, a new genuine Windows 11 product key or license from the Microsoft Store or an authorized reseller is required.
