I can not access or find the correct account to access my microsoft volumn licenses. I purchased thru CDW but can't figure out what I've done wrong or how to get and install office.

Thanks

    See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/volume-license-activation/plan-volume-activation-of-office?toc=%2Foffice%2Fltsc%2F2024%2Ftoc.json .

Note that volume licenses are for organizations, such as businesses. If someone sold these licenses to you and led you to believe that you got a consumer (home use) product, you need to ask for a refund.

Follow these steps to locate and access the correct account for volume licenses and install Office:

    1. Identify the correct admin/account
      • Volume licenses are managed through the Microsoft 365 admin center, not consumer portals.
      • Confirm within the organization who is the Volume Licensing (VL) Administrator for the agreement purchased through CDW. If someone else was listed as Primary Contact or Online Administrator on the CDW/Microsoft agreement, that account will receive the welcome email and have access.
    2. Find or use the welcome email
      • Search all work email accounts for a message from microsoft-noreply@microsoft.com with a subject similar to:
        • “Action required: Sign in to manage your volume licensing assets.”
        • Or, for some agreements, “Permission changes for Microsoft Volume Licensing contracts.”
      • That email contains the correct sign-in link for the Microsoft 365 admin center and is tied to the business email that was registered for the volume agreement.
    3. Sign in to the correct portal and locate volume licenses
      • Using the account from the welcome email (or the known VL admin account), sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center using Microsoft Entra ID (work/school account).
      • In the left navigation, go to Billing > Your products.
      • Select the Volume licensing tab.
      • Under Contracts, verify that the agreement from CDW appears and that licenses are listed. If the agreement was previously registered with the same business email, new License IDs will appear automatically under Volume Licensing > Contracts.
    4. If the volume licensing page or licenses are missing
      • Confirm the correct URL and location: in the admin center, go to Billing > Your products and then the Volume licensing tab.
      • If Billing is not visible, select View all at the bottom of the navigation and pin Billing.
      • If the Volume licensing page still does not appear, it usually means the signed-in account does not have a VL role. In that case:
        • Contact the existing VL Administrator in the organization and request that a VL role be assigned to the correct account.
        • If there is no known VL Administrator, contact Microsoft Volume Licensing Support and provide:
          • The VL agreement (License ID) number from CDW
          • The business email address listed on the VL agreement
          • The sign-in ID used for the Microsoft 365 admin center
        • Ask support to create or correct the VL profile so the agreement appears under Billing > Your products > Volume licensing.
    5. Installing Office once licenses are visible
      • After confirming that the organization has Office volume licenses (for example, Office Professional Plus via VL), use the appropriate deployment method (such as the Office deployment tools or downloads exposed under the volume licensing area) to install Office on devices according to the organization’s policies.

If the product purchased from CDW is labeled “Professional Plus” and is being sold as a one-off “lifetime” license to an individual, that typically indicates a volume license being resold outside Microsoft’s terms. In that situation, the key may not work with standard consumer setup sites, and the remedy is to dispute the purchase with the reseller.
