Do I need to renew my subscription in order to modify my existing Excel spreadsheets

    If you have a subscription based Microsoft 365 licence, if you end the subscription, the Office apps will go into read only mode, and you would not be able to edit existing documents in any of the Office apps or create new documents.

    You may still be able to upload your Excel spreadsheets to OneDrive online and edit the Excel documents in the free version of Excel in a web browser.

    However, if you end the subscription, you will also loose the 1TB of OneDrive storage online and only have the free 5GB of OneDrive storage.
