I have tried to follow your protocols, but they are not working. I need an assistant.

Another possibility is that the markup you refer to is due to the automatic Spelling & Grammar feature. If the affected text is only specific words it indicates that the word is considered to be misspelled. Correcting it will cause the markup to be removed. Also, the feature can be disabled by going to Word> Prefer3ences — Spelling & Grammar.

However, if a great deal of the content is affected it probably is a Language issue, especially if the document is from another source or includes copied content. In that case, Select All then go to Tools> Language to select the appropriate one.

If you continue to have a problem please include a screenshot in your reply here.

It also appears that you have posted the same question more than once. Please submit an issue only one time. Duplicate postings gain nothing but can cause confusion & duplication of effort. It's best to continue a conversation in the same thread.

Unfortunately the AI bot hasn't a clue 🙂 But I assume you're actually referring to markup in a Word document even though you submitted to the Defender Community.

What you describe sounds like markup resulting from the use of the Track Changes feature. The markup can be hidden by sing the Display for Review tool on the Review tab of the ribbon. To remove the markup, though, the changes must be Accepted or Rejected using the respective tools in that same group. Be sure Track Changes is turned off, Accept/Reject, then saveUser's image

If my guess is wrong please explain in more detail & provide a screenshot illustrating the issue.

In Microsoft 365 apps, the red letters and red underlines are typically from spell check or recent typing/formatting that can be undone.

To undo the red underlines or recent changes:

    • On macOS desktop apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook):
      • Press Command+Z repeatedly to undo recent actions until the unwanted red text/formatting is removed.
      • If the action was undone by mistake, press Command+Y to redo it.
    • On Microsoft 365 for the web (Word/Excel/PowerPoint in a browser):
      • Press Ctrl+Z to undo, and Ctrl+Y to redo.

If the red is from spell check underlines (misspelled words):

    • In many Microsoft 365 apps, spell check can be turned off so red underlines no longer appear. For example, in Teams (desktop):
      1. Open the Teams desktop app.
      2. Select the three dots next to the profile icon → SettingsGeneral.
      3. Scroll to Editor spellcheck and turn off Spelling.
      4. If needed, select Language and regionalManage Windows settings, then in Windows Settings → Time & language → Typing, turn off Autocorrect misspelled words and Highlight misspelled words, then restart the app.

If the red text/formatting was applied manually (for example, red font color or underline style), use undo as above, or select the text and change the font color/underline back to the desired style.
