Urgent: Office 2024 Activation Key Linked to Inaccessible/Former Company Domain

I am writing to request assistance with activating my recently purchased Office 2024 license.

The Problem: Upon attempting to install Office 2024 on my new laptop, the system automatically logged into a former employer's account (Domain: [Moderator note: personal info removed] ). As a result, my personal activation key has been erroneously linked to this work email address, which I no longer have access to as I am no longer with the company. Furthermore, the company domain has since changed, making the old email completely unreachable.

Details for Verification:

• Product: Office 2024 (Home & Student/Professional)
• Product Key: Preinstalled & product key is going to the company email address, which is inactive
• Personal Microsoft Account: [Moderator note: personal info removed] OR [Moderator note: personal info removed]
• Proof of Purchase: [Attached invoice & snapshot which mentions office 2024 pre-installed for lifetime in product specification]

Requested Action: Please unbind this product key from the work email address and associate it with my personal Microsoft account listed above. I have already disconnected the work account from my Windows settings, but the license remains stuck on the wrong identity.

To better understand your situation, could you please send me some screenshots via private message?

• In any current Office app: File > Office Account
• Windows Settings: check the top left
• Windows Settings > Account settings > Work or school account

Additionally, according to my research, Office 2024 cannot be bound to a work account, as work accounts can only activate licenses for business subscriptions. This type of unbinding is not supported.

However, if you are in an urgent situation and require real-time support directly, or real-time assistance through a remote session, I recommend submitting a support ticket. The support team will then reach out to you to address the issue. (Please note that submitting a ticket requires Admin access)
