Where to download intel AHCI driver?

Can't find it anywhere. Searched the intel site and the result was for an RSTe driver, with AHCI mentioned no where in this search result. Seems intel is guiding me to a different driver, which I assumed was the same thing based on me landing on it, but it's not. Strange.

Does anyone know if you can download this? Anyone know if RSTe would do the same thing, and so curious why intel would point me to this driver.

For normal consumer/client systems, Intel does not really offer a widely used standalone “generic AHCI driver” download anymore

Perhaps you can tell me why you need this driver? Is it because you are doing a clean install and your SSD is not showing up?

On modern Windows versions, the standalone Intel “AHCI” driver (MSAHCI) is no longer used or distributed separately.

For Windows 8 and later (including Windows 11):

    • The in-box Microsoft AHCI driver is used:
      • On Windows 8 / Windows Server 2012 and newer, StorAHCI replaces the older MSAHCI driver and supports SATA AHCI controllers.
      • Functionality and performance are intended to be unchanged; the change is transparent and the same devices are supported.
    • Utilities or scripts that previously depended on the old ATAport-based MSAHCI binding should be updated to use standard disk detection instead of relying on a specific driver name.

Because of this change, there is no separate Intel “AHCI driver” download for Windows 11. The correct AHCI support is provided by the built-in StorAHCI driver, and Intel’s RST/RSTe packages are not required for basic AHCI functionality on a typical Windows 11 home system.
