I'm an administrator to a team of 365 users, and we have a third party managing our subscriptions. After recently adding Planner 3 and MS Project to our account, we are struggling to find where to download it. Instructions for 365 users seem oriented to individual users, and I can't locate any installers in Microsoft 365 admin center

    Dear @Tim

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

As a moderator, I don't have the tools to investigate your specific account directly because this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas. However, I will try my best to guide you as clearly as possible.

To better assist you, could you please help me answer few questions below:

Regarding "Planner 3 and MS Project," did you mean "Planner and Project Plan 3"?

    User's image

About the "third party managing our subscriptions," do you mean that your subscription was purchased through a partner rather than directly from Microsoft? If so, may I ask: are you the one who manages the Admin Center, or do they?

If you are the one managing it, does that mean you purchased the Planner and Project plans directly within the Admin Center yourself?

If that is the case, the only component that can be downloaded is the Project Online Desktop Client, and it only appears for individual users, not at the tenant level. This means you would purchase the "Planner and Project Plan 3" license and assign it to a user; that user then goes to office.com > Apps > All apps > Install apps to download it.

So please help me answer questions above and help me check if you assign license to users who need to you this license.

I look forward to your support and response!
