After having my Office 2021 products locked out of the blue (Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.4), I followed guidance to remove the applications and reinstall from my Microsoft account. Done. Still no functionality to Office products. Attempting to activate and/or sign in unsuccessful. When attempting to access using my account password on laptop or/and fingerprint passkey from my iPad, a "Network Timeout" message appears, no matter how quickly I attempt to sign in. Unable to sign in!!! Have rebooted computer, have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2021 multiple times, following the guidance. No idea where to go from here. Very frustrating.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Please try connecting your device to a different Wi‑Fi network, such as a mobile hotspot, and check whether you can sign in. Since you’re experiencing issues on both your Mac and iPad, this suggests a possible network or account-related problem.

On your Mac, you can also follow the steps below to completely remove all Office-related data and then reactivate the apps. See if this helps.

If it works on your Mac, you can then reinstall Office on your iPad and check if you’re able to sign in successfully.

    On your Mac:

    1. Quit all Office applications.
    2. Open Finder > Applications.
    3. Use Command button +click to select all of the Microsoft 365 for Mac applications.
    4. Ctrl+click the application you selected and click Move to Trash.

Once done, in the Finder, click GO in the menu bar and go to folder - ~/Library/Containers/

    Delete the folders starting with,

    com.microsoft.Word

    com.microsoft.Excel

    com.microsoft.Powerpoint

    com.microsoft.Outlook

    com.microsoft.OneNote

Go back to the Library folder and open Group Containers. if present, and Move to Trash.

    UBF8T346G9.ms

    UBF8T346G9.Office

Once done, sign in with your Microsoft account here to reinstall the Office apps.

Let me know if you still need more help.
