Revolut Debit Cards not Accepted?

I'm trying to update my billing information, but adding my Revolut Visa Debit Card doesn’t seem to be working. The same card works with GCP, AWS, and all other online services I use, so I’m not sure why Microsoft isn’t accepting it.

Hello M, it sounds like Azure is rejecting your Revolut Visa Debit Card because Azure only accepts standard credit/debit cards (no virtual or prepaid cards) and only certain card types per region. Here’s what to check and try:

    1. Confirm region support
      • Go to the Azure Purchase FAQ and verify that your billing country/region supports Visa debit cards.
    2. Avoid virtual/prepaid cards
      • Revolut cards are often classified as “virtual” or “prepaid,” and Azure doesn’t accept those for subscriptions. You’ll need a physical Visa or Mastercard debit/credit card issued by a recognized bank.
    3. Match card details exactly
      • Make sure the name, billing address, CVV, and expiration date you enter in the portal match exactly what your bank has on file.
    4. Enable international transactions
      • Check with Revolut that international and recurring payments are enabled on your card.
    5. Consider alternative payment
      • If you represent a business, you can switch to invoice payment (wire transfer) instead of card.
