Microsoft Rewards Page Question

Microsoft on the Rewards Page Under "Redeem" had a posting where you could use points for entry in a contest for a Microsoft Surface Computer. And. as far as i am aware, the contest is still ongoing, yet , but, as of March 1st of this year, the option for entry into this contest has been removed from the rewards "Redeem" category.

I live in Virginia and i thought the contest originally had a deadline of June or July of 2026 (i think) so i wonder if Microsoft is pulling some kind of scam or something?

i know this isnt the usual technical question but when Microsoft posts something (like a contest) then

unexpectedly pulls it (before its deadline) without explanation i tend to get a bit suspicious.....

Anybody know the reason for the change...

Also, usually when Microsoft's deadlines for a contest have passed you can search Contests and usually see remarks like " 2 winners" or "results pending" but the contest for 2026 is not listed there.

Any answer why would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You!

Sweepstakes and contest entries shown on the Microsoft Rewards “Redeem” page are not guaranteed to remain available for the entire period a user remembers seeing them. Availability can change at any time, and offers vary by country/region and account.

    From the Rewards documentation:

    • Rewards and offers (including gift cards and sweepstakes) can appear and disappear from the Redeem page, and “offers vary by country.” Users are directed to “check back often” because some items “aren’t always available through Microsoft Rewards.”
    • Microsoft also notes that Customer Support cannot provide details about when specific rewards (including gift cards) will be “restocked or removed,” which applies by analogy to sweepstakes-style rewards as well.
    • Sweepstakes results are published at the winners page (https://rewards.microsoft.com/redeem/winners), and each sweepstake has its own terms and conditions on its page. Once a sweepstake or contest is removed from the Redeem page, it may no longer appear in the active listings, even if a user previously saw a later date.

Given this, the most likely explanations for the Surface contest no longer appearing under Redeem are:

    1. The sweepstake/contest was ended early or modified according to its terms and conditions.
    2. The offer was removed or is no longer available in the current region or for the current account.
    3. The Rewards catalog view changed (offers rotate and are not guaranteed to stay visible).

The documentation does not indicate any scam; it explicitly states that offers and rewards can change and that availability is not guaranteed. For definitive details about a specific contest (such as whether it was closed early or replaced), the only supported paths are:

    1. Check the sweepstakes winners/results page at https://rewards.microsoft.com/redeem/winners to see if that particular contest is listed or has concluded.
    2. Open the Redeem page at https://rewards.microsoft.com/redeem and look for any updated or replacement sweepstakes.
    3. If the contest was a non-Microsoft branded reward or if there are issues with a specific redemption, contact Microsoft Rewards Customer Support via the support link on the Rewards site (https://rewards.bing.com/support).

The context provided does not list any specific reason for a 2026 Surface contest being removed, only that Microsoft may add or remove rewards and that details and terms are always on the individual sweepstake’s page.
