I typed in nwt instead of net. There was a place that allow me to correct it. The response is that it was not available.

The message that the corrected address is “not available” means that the exact email address typed (with .net instead of .nwt) is already in use somewhere in Microsoft’s systems and therefore cannot be assigned to this account.

    Key points:

    1. Email addresses must be unique
      • Microsoft does not allow two different accounts to share the same email address.
      • If the corrected address is already used as a Microsoft account or as an alias on another account, it will show as unavailable.
    2. If this is an alias that was removed
      • If the address being corrected is (or was) an alias on a Microsoft domain such as @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, @msn.com, or similar, and it was removed from an account, it is permanently deleted and cannot be re‑attached to any Microsoft account again.
      • In that case, the address cannot be recovered or reused.
    3. What to do next
      • Choose a different email address (for example, change part of the name before the @, or use a different domain) when setting up or correcting the sign‑in address.
      • If there is a belief that this exact address belongs to an existing Microsoft account that is owned, sign in with that address directly (if possible) or use the account recovery options for that address.

Because the address is reported as “not available,” it cannot be assigned as a new sign‑in name; using a different, unique address is required.
