Microsoft 365 Administrator Exam Passed but Certification Not Showing

Hello Team,

I have successfully passed the Microsoft 365 Administrator exam on December 29, 2025 through Pearson VUE. However, in my Microsoft Learn certification profile it is only showing “Passed” under Past Exams, and the certification badge has not been generated yet.

I already have other certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals, which is showing as active. But the Microsoft 365 Administrator certification is not appearing under my certifications list.

Could you please help me understand why the certification is not generated and how I can get it updated in my profile?

Exams are not certifications. The MS-102 exam is only part of the requirements for the Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert certification. Because the exam and the certification are managed separately, it’s possible to see “Passed” under Past exams while the related certification badge or title is not yet visible in the Certifications section of the Microsoft Learn profile.

Use these checks and steps:

1. Confirm the certification requirements
   Passing the Microsoft 365 Administrator exam (MS-102) is only part of the requirement for the Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert certification.
   To earn that certification, at least one prerequisite certification must already be held, such as:
   • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
   • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
   • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
   • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
   • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
     If these prerequisites are not met, the MS-102 exam will show as passed, but the Administrator Expert certification will not be generated.
     Check the Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert and MS-102 exam pages to verify that all requirements are satisfied.
2. Verify the correct Learn profile and login account
   If the prerequisites are met but the certification still does not appear, verify that the correct Microsoft account is being used:
   • Sign in to Microsoft Learn and confirm that the Contact Email and login account match the one used when registering for the exam.
   • If multiple Learn profiles or Microsoft accounts exist (work/school and personal), sign out and try each possible account to see where the certification appears.
   • If a congratulations email was received, use the profile link in that email to confirm which profile holds the certification.
3. Check for missing or legacy certifications
   • Some older or legacy certifications no longer appear in the Learn profile, but this does not apply to current role-based certifications like Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert.
   • Exams taken via Certiport do not appear in the Learn profile; however, MS-102 is delivered via Pearson VUE, so it should be visible once correctly associated with the Learn profile.
4. If everything looks correct, contact Microsoft Credentials Support
   If the exam shows as passed, the prerequisites are met, and the correct Learn profile is confirmed, the issue is likely with how the credential is associated to the account. In that case, open a support request with Microsoft Credentials Support so they can review and fix the certification record:
   • Go to Microsoft Credentials Support / Learning help page.
   • Sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the exam.
   • Submit a ticket under Learning → Microsoft Credentials describing that MS-102 shows as passed but the Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert certification (and badge) is missing.

If the certification was earned and is only missing from the profile view, Microsoft Credentials Support is the channel that can correct the record and ensure the badge and certification appear.

Upon checking, this can happen sometimes after passing a Microsoft certification exam. Even though the exam result shows as “Passed” in your exam history, the certification badge may take some time to appear in your Microsoft Learn profile because the system still needs to process and associate the result with your certification record.

A good first step is to confirm that the Microsoft Learn profile and the Pearson VUE profile are using the same Microsoft account and email address. If they are different, the exam result may not automatically attach to the certification profile. You can check this in the Microsoft Learn profile settings under Certification profile, where your MCID and linked accounts are shown.

If the accounts are already linked correctly and the certification still does not appear, the best step is to contact Microsoft Credentials Support so they can manually verify and sync the exam result with your certification profile. You can submit a request through the official support page:

Provide the exam name, exam date (December 29, 2025), and your Microsoft Learn profile email so they can locate the record and update the certification if needed. In most cases, once the records are verified, the certification badge will appear in your profile.
