Purchases made with an Xbox/Microsoft gift card are added as money to the Microsoft account balance and then used to buy digital products in Microsoft’s participating stores (such as Xbox/Microsoft Store). Once the balance is used to buy a product, it cannot be transferred back to the gift card or converted to cash, except where required by local law.
For third‑party products (like Roblox content) bought through Microsoft, the payment to Microsoft is considered payment to that third party. Microsoft generally does not issue refunds for these products unless required by law or if a return is accepted under the applicable policy. If a return is accepted, the refund is credited back to the Microsoft account balance that was used for the purchase, not to the original gift card.
Digital goods such as apps, games, and add‑on content are normally non‑refundable unless the specific offer or applicable law makes them eligible. If a refund request has already been denied, there is no supported way to force the Roblox content to appear on another platform account or to move the spent amount back onto the original Xbox gift card.
The only supported options are:
- Check whether any refund has been granted or is still pending in the Microsoft account order history.
- If there is a clear billing or delivery issue that might fall under local consumer law protections, contact Microsoft support directly and ask them to review the transaction again.
