Hello Sandra,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A. I understand you are having trouble canceling a recurring meeting in Teams because the edit screen is appearing blank and greyed out.
Since any meeting you create in Teams also lives on your Outlook calendar, you can easily bypass this Teams glitch by canceling the series directly through Outlook!
Option 1: Cancel via Outlook
- Open your Outlook calendar and find one of the scheduled meetings.
- Right-click on the meeting block.
- Select Cancel (or Delete), and then choose Cancel Series (or Delete Series).
- It will prompt you to send a cancellation update to the attendees. Go ahead and send it.
This will instantly and permanently wipe all future occurrences of that meeting from both your Outlook and Teams calendars.
Option 2: Cancel Directly in Teams If you prefer to stay inside Teams and want to try bypassing that greyed-out edit screen, you can try this quick right-click method instead of opening the meeting details:
- Go to your Teams calendar and Right-click directly on the colored meeting block.
- Click Cancel, and then select Cancel series.
I hope this helps you clear those recurring meetings off your calendar! If you have any further questions or if the issue persists, please let me know and I will be happy to assist you.
