Identity conflict between personal Microsoft account and Microsoft 365 subscription causing sign‑in loops and missing features

I’m experiencing a persistent identity conflict between my personal Microsoft account (Gmail-based) and my Microsoft 365 subscription. This is causing ongoing sign‑in loops, inconsistent account recognition, and features appearing or disappearing depending on which identity Microsoft loads.

Symptoms

  • Microsoft sometimes treats my Gmail login as a personal account and other times as a work/school account

I get stuck in repeated sign‑in loops

Some Microsoft 365 features are missing or unavailable depending on which identity loads

Services switch between personal and business contexts unpredictably

I cannot reliably access the subscription I’m paying for

What I’ve already tried

Clearing all Windows Credential Manager entries

Using separate browsers and InPrivate sessions

Checking aliases and primary account settings

Reviewing Microsoft account and Microsoft 365 admin settings

Attempting to reach Microsoft Support through multiple paths

The bigger issue

I’ve spent hours trying to reach technical support, but I’m stuck in a constant loop:

The support site keeps redirecting me to the billing‑only support flow

The technical support categories I used to have access to have disappeared

Clicking Contact Support always sends me back to the same dead-end dropdown page

The callback system hangs up immediately

The chat option never appears anymore

I’ve tried multiple browsers, InPrivate windows, and direct links — all lead to the same loop

What I need

I’m not looking for instructions on how to contact support again — I’ve exhausted every path.

I need actual guidance on resolving the identity conflict itself, specifically:

How to fix personal vs. Microsoft account conflicts

How to stop the sign‑in loop

How to get Microsoft 365 to consistently recognize my account

How to correct situations where Microsoft misidentifies my identity

If anyone has dealt with this or understands the underlying cause, I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you.
