Azure Credits expires in March, and no option to contact support or extend

Hi team,

I am currently on the $5,000 Azure credit, of which I have only been able to utilise around $900 so far. Due to delays in the R&D development phase, I have not yet been able to complete my product prototype.

I would like to request an extension of the Azure credit for the next 12 months so I can continue developing and testing the solution.

I have reviewed similar queries in the Q&A section, but I could not find an option to request a credit extension or contact support through the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub portal.

Specifically:

Clicking “Apply Extension” redirects me to the default company profile page, which only displays my current credit expiry date.

I could not find any support request option within the Founders Hub portal to submit this request.

I would really appreciate your guidance on how I can submit a request to extend the credits.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,

Bala

    Hey there, Bala Murugesan

Unfortunately, any Azure credits that haven't been used during the time period will expire 180 days after successful verification and cannot be extended.

Can I request more time to use my startup credits? No, any unused credits expire 90 days after initial redemption or 180 days after successful verification. Expiration periods can't be extended. Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/signups/overview#can-i-request-more-time-to-use-my-startup-credits

This is why you don't see an option to extend the credits or see an option for support on this when you try and reach out to support. If your startup is affiliated with the Microsoft for Startups Investor Network, then you may be eligible for more credits or support options available. You can learn more about this in this Learn article here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/signups/overview#how-can-i-get-more-azure-credits

Hope this answer helps and sorry it wasn't the answer you were expecting. You can find more documentation on the Microsoft Startups offer here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/signups/

    Thanks,
    Nathan
