Are you seeing ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK in the URL when you try and schedule the exam?

ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK is typically because your account has been blocked by Pearson Vue which normally happens because of multiple failed payments. You need to contact Pearson Vue support using the link on https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport to get the block lifted.

The “Unexpected error” after submitting the address is a known registration/scheduling issue and is typically related either to the Learn profile data being rejected or to a Pearson VUE account block.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Verify Learn profile data
      • Go to the Learn profile and ensure the legal name is present and valid. The name must match the legal ID exactly and follow the validation rules (for example, some special characters or accented characters can cause validation issues; if applicable, temporarily remove accents and save again).
      • Confirm address, phone, and contact email are filled in correctly.
    2. Retry scheduling with a clean browser session
      • Open a private/incognito browser window.
      • Sign in to the correct Learn profile.
      • From the DP-700 exam details page, click Schedule with Pearson VUE and re-enter the required address/contact details, then submit again.
    3. Check for Pearson VUE account block (ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK)
      • A common cause of persistent “unexpected error” at the submit step is a Pearson VUE–wide block, often triggered by multiple failed payment attempts.
      • This can only be resolved by Pearson VUE; the block prevents scheduling regardless of browser or device.
    4. Contact the correct support channel
      • For a possible Pearson VUE block or any error that persists after the above steps, contact certification support via the path described at https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport (Microsoft Certification Support / Pearson VUE support). They can:
        • Check whether the Pearson VUE account is blocked (ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK or similar).
        • Lift the block or correct any account issues so scheduling for DP-700 can proceed.

If none of the above resolves the issue, open a ticket with Microsoft Credentials Support so the certification team can review the Learn profile and handoff to Pearson VUE if needed.
