For duplicate Microsoft 365 subscription charges, billing adjustments and refunds must be handled directly by Microsoft Support, as account and payment details are not accessible here.

    Take these steps:

    1. Confirm if both charges are truly duplicates:
      • Go to the Services and subscriptions page and sign in with the Microsoft account used to buy Microsoft 365.
      • Check your order history for multiple purchases of the same Microsoft 365 subscription on the same date or very close together.
      • If you use more than one Microsoft account or card, also check whether the second charge might be tied to another account or family member. On your Microsoft account Payment options page you can select Investigate to search for other accounts using your card. Learn more.
    2. Cancel the extra Microsoft 365 subscription (if two active subscriptions exist):
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the account that shows the extra subscription.
      • Find the Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage.
      • Select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the on‑screen steps.
      • This will also check refund eligibility for that subscription.
    3. Request a refund for the duplicate charge:
      • After cancellation, follow the prompts shown during the cancel flow to see if a refund is offered for that charge.
      • If the subscription was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, contact their support instead for cancellation or refund (see the notes in the articles below).
    4. If you still see two charges for the same order or cannot resolve it:
      • If it is clearly a duplicate charge for the same order, contact Microsoft Store Support with your Microsoft account and order number so they can review and adjust billing if appropriate.
      • If you are unable to cancel or do not see the right options, use the guided support at Contact Microsoft Support and choose a billing topic.

Note: Not all cancellations result in a refund, and eligibility can depend on region and subscription status. In some countries (such as Canada, Israel, Korea, Turkey, and certain EU countries) prorated refunds may apply.
