We cannot receive our emails using Outlook. When the page opens up it won't synchronize and and error message comes up

    Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

    To help narrow down the issue:

    1. What exact error message do you see when Outlook tries to synchronize?
    2. Also, are you using Outlook Classic (desktop app) or the new Outlook app / Outlook on the web?
    3. What type of account are you using (Outlook.com, Gmail, work/school, or something else)?
    4. If you sign in to https://outlook.live.com/mail can you see your emails there?

    Check any Outlook rules:

    In https://outlook.live.com/mail go to Settings > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Rules and Mail > Forwarding to make sure no one has set up rules to forward or delete your messages.
