Hello Ephraim Javier, it looks like what you really need is for the Azure for Education team to manually clear both the school-issued identity and your Gmail identity from the verification system so you can start fresh. There isn’t a self-service “reset” button once you’ve linked a university domain. Here’s what you can do:
- Open the Azure for Education support form • Go to https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com/institutions/Contact • Select the “Students” (or “Azure for Students”) support option
- In your request, tell them: • You signed up with your personal Gmail MSA but accidentally used your BYU Pathway email to verify. • You need both accounts (the Gmail MSA and the school email) removed/reset from the academic verification table. • You plan to re-verify only with your Gmail account. • Include the full email addresses (they’ll redact them for privacy) and any tenant or subscription ID you see in portal errors.
- After support confirms both identities are cleared, go back to the Azure for Students sign-up page: https://aka.ms/azure4students • Run the flow again in a private/Incognito browser using only your Gmail MSA.
If you can’t reach that support form because of tenant errors:
- Try a different browser or an Incognito window to bypass cached cookies.
- Use a different network (hotspot or VPN) if your campus network is intercepting URLs.
- From the Azure portal (portal.azure.com) use “Help + support” > “New support request” and choose the Education > Students category.
