The candidate name used for a scheduled Microsoft certification exam comes from the legal name stored in the Microsoft Learn / certification profile and the exam provider’s (Pearson VUE or Certiport) record. It cannot be corrected directly by others and must be fixed through official support.
Since the exam confirmation still shows the repeated name even after updating the profile, the next step is to contact Microsoft Credentials Support so they can correct the legal name associated with the exam registration, or advise on rescheduling if needed.
Use the dedicated credentials support channel and open a support request, explaining:
- The exam (PL-300) and scheduled date (12 March 2026).
- The incorrect candidate name shown on the confirmation.
- The correct legal name exactly as on the Aadhaar ID.
Support can review and update the legal name or guide on how to proceed so that the name on the exam record matches the ID used at the test center.
To reach them, submit a request via the Credentials Support page:
- Go to the credentials support help page and create a support request for exam/credentials issues.
If the issue is specifically with the legal name field in the Learn profile (for example, duplicated or otherwise incorrect and not editable), the same credentials support route is also the recommended path.
