I cant find how to access the Microsoft authentor appm i cant get passed this requested item to get my email and synch it

Follow these steps to get into Microsoft Authenticator and use it to sign in and sync accounts:

1. Install and open Microsoft Authenticator
   • On the phone, install Microsoft Authenticator from the app store.
   • Open the app. If prompted, allow notifications and camera access (needed to scan QR codes).
2. Add the Microsoft account to Authenticator
   • In Authenticator, choose Add account.
   • Select Personal account or Work or school account, matching the account used for email.
   • On a computer, go to the normal Microsoft sign-in page for email (for example Outlook or Microsoft 365) and sign in with email address and password.
   • When asked for more information or to set up an app, choose Microsoft Authenticator as the method.
   • Follow the on‑screen steps to either:
     • Scan a QR code with the Authenticator app, or
     • Approve a notification in Authenticator.
3. If already using Authenticator and seeing “Action required”
   • In Authenticator, on the Accounts screen, tap the account that shows Action required.
   • Tap the tile for that account, then tap the option to Sign in to recover.
   • Enter the account password, then confirm email address or phone number when prompted.
4. If unable to restore old Authenticator data
   • If backup/restore does not work because there is no access to the backup account, the accounts must be added again in Authenticator. Follow the “add account” steps above for each account.
5. If sign‑in keeps failing with Authenticator
   • Make sure the app is unlocked.
   • Ensure notifications are enabled for Microsoft Authenticator on the phone.
   • Confirm the app is up to date from the app store.
   • Check the phone has a working internet connection and correct date and time.

If the Microsoft account password is forgotten, use the password reset flow: Reset your password.
