Don't just pass over this.....READ IT!

  • I just can't believe you are doing away with Publisher! I have been using only Publisher for more than 30 years and now out of the blue you say you are doing away with it without a replacement! You say to use Word, or Presentation, Libre Office, Canva or the like. Well I'm here to tell you that NO PROGRAM out there does what Publisher does, or is as easy to use. I have downloaded several of them and NONE OF THEM do what Publisher does with ease. I think it is absolutely disgusting that a company as big, or too big as Microsoft, can just blatantly leave millions of clients paying for this program in the lurch. Maybe if enough of us get together and file a class action law suit against you, we may be able to get you to listen to reason. I have yet to see anyone posting that they are happy that you are doing away with Publisher. It is just wrong. It will cause more grief and hardship for so many companies that use your products that this may just back fire on you. You may find more and more people leaving Microsoft all together and finding alternatives to your attempt at a monopoly. I'm sure I am not the first one that has thought of this. Why don't you just leave it alone and keep Publisher in your software programs? No one likes change, but this is way more than simple change. It is causing extreme hardship for many businesses, small and large companies and individuals alike. So why don't you sell it as a stand alone?? You would still make money on the program, and only do periodic updates. A company the size of Microsoft, can't tell me that this is beyond your realm of doability. Think about it Microsoft......millions of voices against your one voice. Could cost you more than you think.

Have you tried Affinity Publisher? It's is free.

You can import and edit your Publisher files, if you first convert them to PDF. See

    https://www.affinity.studio/page-layout-software

    https://www.affinity.studio/help/get-started-import-pdf/

Affinity Publisher supposedly works similar to Publisher. There are also some YouTube videos that may help.
