My question was automatically deleted due to Code of Conduct – likely spam filter false positive

Hello,

I recently posted a technical question about OneDrive/Office sync errors (“Upload pending”, error codes 0x800706d9 and 0x8004de44).

When I tried to mark an accepted answer, the system showed: “This content has been deleted due to a violation of our Code of Conduct”.

There was no violation. The post was technical, contained no personal data, and described a confirmed root cause (conflict between two antivirus products).

This looks like a false positive from the automated spam filter. Could a moderator please review and restore the question?

Thank you.

And is if that was not enough, this post of yours was also trapped by the spam filter. I have undeleted both your posts.

However, I like to point out that your original post, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5811549/onedrive-office-upload-pendente-e-erros-0x800706d9, has a few issues:

    • It is in Portuguese. This is English part of Microsoft Q&A. Questions in Portuguese should be asked at https://learn.microsoft.com/pt-br/answers/questions/ask/.
    • The post repeats itself. From the structure of the post, it seems that you took help of an AI tool. Somehow when you pasted the text to the posting window, it was doubled. This is something I have observed with other AI-generated posts as well. I don't know how it happens, but it is a courtesy to the people that try to help you to reduce the noise and out such duplication.

The behavior described matches known cases where the automated spam filter on Microsoft Q&A incorrectly deletes valid questions.

In similar situations, moderators have confirmed that:

    • Questions were automatically deleted by the spam filter “by mistake”.
    • Moderators can manually restore the deleted post.

The appropriate action is to have a moderator review and restore the question. Since the post was technical, contained no personal data, and appears to have been caught by the spam filter as a false positive, a moderator can:

    1. Locate the deleted question in the moderation tools.
    2. Confirm it does not violate the Microsoft Q&A Code of Conduct.
    3. Restore the question so it is visible again and allow the accepted answer to be marked.

This is consistent with other reported cases where:

    • A user’s question was “automatically deleted by spam filter by mistake” and then undeleted by a moderator.
    • Another user’s question was “deleted by mistake by the spam filter” and later restored.
    • Users who could not submit or saw their content disappear were told this is a known bug and that moderators can restore or move the thread as needed.

If the issue persists or affects multiple posts, it can be reported under Community Center / Site bug or problem so moderators and site admins can investigate the spam filter behavior.
