Ive been playing Minecraft for a couple of weeks now and when I tried playing today it made me "log in" to Microsoft again even though it hasn't asked me that a singe time. When I tried logging in it forced me to make a new account where it's making me buy Minecraft again even though I already bought it. My account name was "[Removed to protect privacy]" and it was nicknamed "KyniK" my order number was #[Removed to protect privacy]. Is there anyway I can get my original Minecraft account back?

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Based on your description, the error you are experiencing is an indication that your account was compromised. The hacker was able to remove the account's primary email address/security info and replace it with their own email address, which is why your account is not recognized, and you're being asked to create a new Microsoft account using the same primary email address.

The only way to recover a hacked account is through the official Microsoft troubleshooter guide:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-recover-a-hacked-or-compromised-microsoft-account-24ca907d-bcdf-a44b-4656-47f0cd89c245

If the account recovery web form doesn't work, and since the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

However, I would recommend reaching out to Minecraft Support regarding your Minecraft account if they can provide an alternative option:

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

The original Minecraft license is tied to the original Microsoft account used to buy and play it. When a sign-in prompt appears and a new account is created by mistake, Minecraft will look empty and ask for a new purchase because it no longer sees the old account.

To regain access to the original Minecraft account and purchase, the correct Microsoft account must be recovered and signed in again. Use these steps:

    1. Confirm which email is the real Microsoft account for the purchase
    2. If the correct account email is forgotten
      • Check all email inboxes for receipts from Microsoft for Minecraft or Microsoft Store purchases. This can help identify which email address was used. See: Check products or services where you used your Microsoft account.
      • If security info was set up, follow the guidance under “forgotten your Microsoft account username” from that page.
    3. If the correct account email is known but the password no longer works
    4. If sign-in still fails or the account appears blocked or compromised
      • Follow the official hacked/compromised-account recovery guidance and complete the Microsoft Account Recovery form (ACSR) with as much accurate information as possible (old passwords, devices, etc.). If the form is declined and security info has been replaced, there is no alternative method to restore that Microsoft account. In that case, Minecraft Support may be able to help with game access separately. See the moderator guidance in:
        • “Cannot Access Microsoft Account After Hacker Changed Email, Advice Needed”
        • “hello my email was … can please someone help me and the team change it…”
    5. Sign back into Minecraft with the recovered account
      • Once the correct Microsoft account is identified and accessible, sign out of the new/empty account in the Minecraft launcher or game, then sign in using the recovered Microsoft account. The existing Minecraft license and profile (including the gamertag and purchases) should appear again if they are tied to that account.

If the original Microsoft account has been closed for more than the 30–60 day grace period or has been deleted after more than two years of inactivity, it cannot be reopened and the associated content cannot be restored. See:
