Missed exam appointments cannot be rescheduled after the scheduled time; the fee or free-offer voucher is forfeited if the appointment was not cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
To reschedule or cancel a future Microsoft certification exam (including AZ-900) on Windows or any platform:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile used to schedule the exam.
- Select the profile avatar in the top-right corner and choose Profile.
- In the left menu, select Credentials, then Certifications.
- Scroll to the specific exam appointment.
- Select Cancel or Reschedule.
- The browser will redirect to the exam delivery provider (for example, Pearson VUE); complete the reschedule or cancellation there.
Key policy points from the context:
- Exams must be rescheduled or cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled time; otherwise, the entire exam fee is forfeited.
- For free exam offers (such as Ignite/Build promotions), if the appointment is not cancelled or rescheduled according to the policy, the free exam offer is forfeited and cannot be reused.
For a missed AZ-900 exam where the scheduled time has already passed and was not successfully rescheduled 24+ hours in advance, a new exam appointment must be scheduled and paid for (or booked with a new valid voucher/offer) as the original booking cannot be reused.
