Bought and installed wrong Office version; want to exchange

I just bought the $179,.99 Office 2024 product at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/microsoft-365?ms.officeurl=buy&rtc=2&OCID=prod_unlicensed_cons_fuel_acq_macrfm_FREBizbar&Version=16.78.1008.0&lcid=1033. To my surprise, it was actually 365, not 2024, and is not for personal use. So not only does it not work as a local product, I won't activate because I am an individual user, I paid $1`90 (including tax) and can't use the app at all!

Please help me exchange it for something I can use!

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Just to check first. When you bought it, were you signed in with your Microsoft account during the purchase?

With Microsoft 365 purchases, you normally do not receive a product key. The license is attached directly to your Microsoft account.

Please check this page while signed in with the same account used for the purchase:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

Are you able to see your Microsoft Office 2024 or 365 Subscription under the Services & subscriptions page?

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
