In Microsoft Store, “Product not available” for an app like Spotify usually means one of the following, even if the Microsoft account region is set to the US:
- The app is not available in the current device’s region settings.
- The app is not compatible with the device.
- The app has been removed or is temporarily unavailable.
Work through these steps on the Windows 10 PC:
- Confirm Windows region and restart
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Region.
- Set Country or region to United States.
- Restart the PC.
- Reset the Microsoft Store cache
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
wsreset.exe and select OK.
- A blank Command Prompt opens, then closes after a few seconds, and Microsoft Store reopens automatically.
- In Store, search for Spotify again.
- Check Microsoft account and device authorization
- Make sure the PC is signed in with the same Microsoft account whose region is set to the US.
- If needed, verify the device is added to the Microsoft account as described in Manage your devices for Microsoft Store (linked from the context).
- Check for Windows and Store updates
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates and install any available updates.
- Open Microsoft Store.
- Go to See more (…) > Downloads and updates > Get updates and let Store update itself and other apps.
- Verify compatibility and availability
- Microsoft Store hides or blocks the purchase/install button if the app is incompatible with the device (for example, Windows version, architecture, or device type).
- If Spotify still shows as unavailable after the steps above, it is likely either not compatible with that specific device or temporarily removed/unavailable in the Store for that configuration.
If none of these steps change the status and other apps install normally, the issue is almost certainly app availability/compatibility rather than the account region.
