MS Designer (with MS Designer Premium) has not worked correctly for 2 weeks. Does anyone have a fix? Is anyone else having problems> I have "credits" and understand I have over 60 or unlimited with MS 365 Premium. Do I need to subscribe to Co-Pilot, too? Right now MS designer is useless.

Designer does not require a separate Copilot subscription. It can be used in several ways:

    1. Go directly to the web app at designer.microsoft.com and sign in with a Microsoft account.
    2. Install the Microsoft Designer mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
    3. Use Designer features via Copilot in Word and PowerPoint by selecting the Copilot icon and describing what to create (this specific integration requires a Copilot Pro subscription and, for desktop apps, a Microsoft 365 subscription).

For Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, and Premium subscribers, AI credits are already included and can be used for AI features in Designer. There is no requirement to buy an additional Copilot subscription just to use Designer itself.

If Designer has stopped working correctly for two weeks, try these checks:

    1. Confirm sign-in and eligibility
      • Ensure sign-in with the correct Microsoft account that has the Microsoft 365 Premium (or other eligible) subscription and AI credits.
      • If age requirements for generative AI are not met in the region, some AI features in Designer may be unavailable even if credits are present.
    2. Try alternate entry points
      • Test Designer in a browser at designer.microsoft.com.
      • If using Word/PowerPoint integration, verify the Copilot icon is available and that the Microsoft 365 subscription is active.
    3. Check for service or feature limitations
      • Some Designer features (like Upscale or other AI-powered tools) may be restricted by age or region. If the account does not meet those requirements, those features will not work even with credits.

If the app remains unusable after confirming account, subscription, and age/region eligibility, use the Send feedback option in designer.microsoft.com or the mobile app to report the issue, or contact Microsoft support for further investigation.

There is no indication in the provided information that an additional Copilot subscription is required beyond the existing Microsoft 365 Premium plan and its AI credits for using Designer.
