I use 365 and the subscription was about to expire. I reached out to a friend who works for MS and he allowed us to have the friends/family discount. We paid for it and have the subscription for one year. Yesterday, we see a pending fee on our bank statement from MS for a year subscription to 365. I want the fee reversed. $143.51

I don't have the account information of 365 that I was using. I deleted the old 365 in order to download the new on that we got on friends and family.

To get the extra Microsoft 365 charge reversed, follow these steps:

    1. Confirm which account was charged
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account that was billed for the $143.51.
      • Verify which Microsoft 365 subscription is active there (for example, Family/Personal, annual/monthly, and renewal date).
      • If the charge came via a third party (Amazon, Best Buy, mobile app store), that provider must handle cancellation and refund.
    2. Cancel the duplicate subscription and check refund eligibility
      • In Services & subscriptions, find the Microsoft 365 subscription that corresponds to the unwanted renewal.
      • Select Manage.
      • Select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the prompts.
      • When cancelling, the site will indicate whether a refund is available for that charge. For Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal, Family, or Premium purchased from Microsoft, cancellation is required first to check refund eligibility.
      • If the page shows Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage or Cancel, that subscription is already set to expire and will not charge again.
    3. If cancellation/refund cannot be completed online
      • Use Microsoft’s guided support for billing issues and unrecognized or duplicate charges. A support agent can review the $143.51 charge and process a refund if eligible.
      • Make sure to:
        • Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was charged.
        • Choose the Microsoft 365 & Office product category.
        • Select a billing/refund topic (for example, “Billing and Payment updates” or similar) and start chat or request a call.
    4. If the charge came from a third party
      • If the renewed subscription was purchased through Google Play or Apple’s App Store, request cancellation/refund directly from them using their refund processes.

Because this involves account-specific billing and a pending bank charge, final reversal must be handled by Microsoft Support or the third-party retailer after cancellation.
