Issues with Microsoft Designer

Hello. I’m paying $20/month for Copilot Pro which includes Microsoft Designer credits. For about three weeks the service has had issues and I was unable to use most of my monthly credits. Last month I used fewer than 10 out of the 60 credits and the issue is still happening this month. Because the service has been unusable for a large portion of the billing period, I’d like to request a refund or account credit for the affected month. I have only used 1 credit so far this month because the issue persists.

Refunds or credits for Copilot Pro and its included AI features (such as Microsoft Designer/Image Creator credits) are handled through the standard Microsoft subscription refund process; there is no separate refund path just for unused AI credits.

To request a refund or credit for the affected month, the subscription must first be canceled, and eligibility depends on country/region and timing:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account used to buy Copilot Pro.
    2. Locate the Copilot Pro subscription and select Manage.
    3. Select Cancel and follow the on‑screen steps.
      • If the subscription was purchased in a country/region that supports prorated refunds at any time (Canada, Denmark, France, Korea, Turkey, etc.), a prorated refund is available whenever cancellation occurs. See the “Microsoft Copilot Pro refund window” table for the full list of those regions.
      • In all other countries/regions, a prorated refund is only available if cancellation occurs within 14 days of the initial purchase.
    4. If outside the refund window, turn off recurring billing so future months are not charged, and then contact Microsoft Support to request an exception/credit due to service issues:
      • Go to Contact Microsoft Support (from the refund article) → describe the billing/service problem → choose a support option (chat or callback).

If Copilot Pro was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and any refund/credit must be requested directly from Google or Apple using their refund processes.

Because this scenario involves service usability issues over multiple weeks, support may need to review account and service history and can determine whether a one‑time courtesy credit or refund can be applied beyond the standard automated refund rules.
