Accessing xbox account (xbox app)

Question

I am locked out my xbox account and I am unable to do the account recovery. I am still logged in on the xbox app, is there anyway to log into my xbox through the app on a new console?

Unfortunately, there is no way for log in to another device using the Xbox app. However, I'd like to see how much I can help you with the issue. You said that your account is still log in into the Xbox app? Can you please try and go to the Microsoft website and Xbox website to see if your account is still logged in there?

If the Microsoft account used for Xbox is locked and account recovery is not possible, there is no supported way to use the Xbox app on a device where it is already signed in to authenticate a new console or bypass the lock.

To regain access and then sign in on a new console, only the official account-unlock and recovery options can be used:

1. If the account is locked for suspicious activity:
   • Go to https://account.microsoft.com and follow the prompts to get a security code and unlock the account. Any phone number that can receive SMS can be used; it does not need to be on the account.
   • If the sign-in page shows no Next button and indicates the account is locked, use the aka.ms/ link shown there and submit the reinstatement form. A Microsoft Online Safety agent will review and contact by email.
2. If the issue is that the account can’t be signed into or is reported as not existing / can’t pass verification:
   • Use the Microsoft account sign-in helper or the Microsoft account sign-in helper depending on which link is presented.
   • If recovery is needed, complete the Account recovery form from a device and location previously used with the account, and provide as much accurate information as possible (old passwords, services used like Xbox, etc.). Guidance is in the “Help with the Microsoft account recovery form” article.
3. If the account was hacked and aliases/security info changed and the recovery form fails, community guidance indicates there is no alternative method for Microsoft to restore access beyond the official recovery process.

Once the Microsoft account is successfully unlocked or recovered, it can be used to sign in on the new Xbox console directly. The Xbox app being signed in on another device does not provide a separate path to sign in on a new console.
