A chat with Gemini 3, yesterday, has shown that Microsoft on March 1 and Gmail on March 7 have modified auth. procedures. This has given the problem occurred on March 7. A Windows or Outlook update will be issued soon.

    Best regards.

I have the same problem. I have 2 gmail accounts set-up in Outlook and just noticed that one wasn't working (no errors, just no email received in awhile). I tried to look at the settings but I received an error. I took advice to delete the account and set it up again - but I just received the same error trying to add it.

I then checked my working gmail account (to get the settings so I could the second one manually) - and this started giving me the same error. Setting up manually ALSO gave me the same error:

We were unable to set up your Google account with IMAP. You may need to make changes your gmail settings.

Doesn't mention what changes... and also nothing has changed on my side, so it seems like an Outlook problem to me.
