issue with microsoft 365

i can;'t turn on bcc. i go to files/options/ customize ribbon and sometimes bcc is there and sometimes not. when it is i select it and it wont work. Help,

In Outlook, Bcc is not reliably controlled from File > Options > Customize Ribbon. Use the built‑in Bcc toggle while composing a message instead.

Use the steps that match the Outlook experience in use:

New Outlook for Windows

1. Open a new email or reply to an email.
2. Go to Options > Show fields.
3. Select Show Bcc.
4. The Bcc line appears under To/Cc; add recipients there.

Classic Outlook for Windows

1. Create a new email or reply/forward an existing one.
2. If the message opens in its own window: select Options > Bcc.
   • If the message opens in the Reading Pane: select Bcc on the ribbon.
3. The Bcc line appears; add recipients and send.
4. To turn Bcc off for future messages, repeat step 2 so the Bcc button is no longer highlighted (light background).

Notes:

• After Bcc is turned on in Classic Outlook, it stays visible for new messages until turned off with the same Bcc button.
• Bcc recipients can only be seen by the sender in the copy stored in Sent Items, not by other recipients.
