I am reposting this as a new question because my option to answer your reply to my last question has an error. please find thia as a continuance to my first answer from you. I believe that the Email address that I verified was free and avaliable for the taking this morning. I also believe that I accepted it and it is maybe now showing used but is stuck somewhere between me accepting it and it adding to my outlook account. I may have done something by mistake to cause that but I am sure it was free for me to use. Can you please check into this as I really would like to have that address for my business website which has the same domain name for web address less the outlook part

Outlook.com aliases and custom addresses cannot be checked or fixed from here. Only the account owner and Microsoft support can see whether a specific address is available, reserved, or stuck in a pending state.

To move this forward, use the official Outlook.com support channels so an agent can look at the account and the specific address:

    1. Sign in to Outlook.com with an already-verified email address on the account.
    2. Open the Help pane:
      • Select Help on the Outlook.com menu bar, or use the support entry point described in the articles below.
    3. In the Help pane, describe the issue (for example, that a previously free address may now show as used but is not visible in the account aliases) and include that this is for a business website address.
    4. If self-help suggestions do not resolve it, scroll down to Still need help? and choose Yes to reach support.

If the address is meant to be a custom domain (matching a business website domain), note that using a personalized email address with a custom domain in Outlook.com now requires a Microsoft 365 subscription. The older Outlook.com Premium/Ad-Free subscriptions no longer provide custom domain support. For ongoing use of a personalized address on a custom domain with Outlook.com, a Microsoft 365 subscription is needed.

If support confirms the address is not available as an Outlook.com alias, consider:

    • Registering and configuring the custom domain with Microsoft 365 (if not already done), then
    • Creating the mailbox/address through the Microsoft 365 service rather than as a free Outlook.com alias.

If the problem persists or the address appears blocked or misconfigured, use the “Still need help?” path again and reference the earlier support case so they can escalate.
