No certification received for AZ-305

Hi, Good Day. I have completed AZ-305 exam on January 2026 and passed. Still I haven't received the certification even though it is showing the exam is passed. Due to this, I am unable to upload the transcript and unable to attempt new certification exam. Please help me resolve this. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Do you have Active Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification? This is required in addition to passing AZ-305 exam in order to earn Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification. If you don't have it you need to pass AZ-104 exam and both certifications will show up.

Follow these steps to resolve the missing AZ-305 certification and transcript issue:

1. Verify the exam and certification status
   • Go to the AZ-305 exam page and confirm that AZ-305 is still active and part of the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert path.
   • Ensure that all required exams for the related certification are passed. Some certifications require multiple exams; the certificate is only issued after all required exams are completed.
   • Check the Certification Dashboard and the Certifications tab in the Learn profile to see whether the certification is listed even if the PDF certificate is not yet downloaded.
2. Confirm the correct Learn profile and account
   • Make sure sign-in is with the same Microsoft account used when registering and taking AZ-305.
   • If there might be multiple accounts (personal vs. work/school), sign out and try each possible account to see where the exam result and certification appear.
   • If the exam was taken through Certiport, note that those certifications do not currently appear in the Learn profile and must be managed via Certiport.
3. Access certificates, badges, and transcript
   • From the Certification Dashboard, use View Certificates to download the AZ-305-related certificate once it appears.
   • Use View Transcript to generate, download (PDF), or share the transcript once the certification is visible. This transcript is what is typically required for verification and for processes such as college credit.
4. If the certification is still missing
   • Some older or legacy certifications may age out and no longer appear, but AZ-305 is currently listed as active with no retirement date, so it should appear once processed correctly.
   • If the exam shows as passed but the certification and transcript are still not available after a reasonable time, open a support request with the dedicated credentials team:
     • Use Microsoft Credentials Support as indicated in the missing-certifications and Q&A guidance. This team can:
       • Merge multiple Learn profiles if the exam and certification are split across accounts.
       • Correct mapping issues between the exam provider and the Learn profile.
       • Reissue or surface missing certificates and ensure the transcript is generated.
5. Impact on scheduling new exams
   • Exam registration is done from the exam details page and is tied to the Learn profile. Once the profile issue is resolved by Credentials Support, it should be possible to upload the transcript and schedule new certification exams normally.

When contacting Microsoft Credentials Support, provide:

• Exam number (AZ-305), date, and result status (passed).
• The Microsoft account used to register for the exam.
• Any confirmation or score report information from the exam provider (Pearson VUE).
