I want to download a file but instead of downloading it to a random folder, I want to be able to select the destination folder or you can say the path where my file should be downloaded using asp.net only.
in other words, I click on the download button, it should open file browser and I should be able to select my destination download folder.

You can't as noted mess with that choice. If you could, then I might try and grab your folder called banking files. Or I might try and overwrite your email folder etc. So only the user can control these things - it is setup that way for as noted in the other post here for reasons of security.
I also can't do the reverse either (select what files to pull from YOUR computer). And a again, this prevents my web site from grabbing your banking files or information from YOUR computer when you visit my site to view some cute cat pictures. So the web server side is VERY hands off the client side computer as to what you can see, touch, and do. And this includes the ability to select files for upload, or download. You have no control and choices in this area - as noted, the web is setup this way for reasons of security. So you are not even able to determine, or even know what file path names exists client side. But then again, the person might be hitting your side with a tablet or android phone, which have very different file systems then that of a windows desktop computer.

Hi @Juhi Jain (XJUHJ) , Which browser do you use? What you want depends on your browser's setting. If you use Google browser, you can open the Ask where to save each file before downloading option to achieve your requirement.

No can do. For security reasons, browsers do not implement this feature. If you need this feature, you will need to write a desktop or mobile app.
