I have been paying for MSN Dial up subscription for years, but I connect via WiFi. Confirm that I do not need the dial up connection and can cancel subscription.

MSN Dial-up is only required when using a dial-up (phone line) internet connection. If internet access is now via Wi-Fi/broadband and there is no use of a dial-up connection, the MSN Dial-up subscription is typically not needed and can be cancelled.

    To cancel a Microsoft-billed subscription:

    1. Go to Subscriptions and sign in with the Microsoft account used for the MSN Dial-up subscription.
    2. Find the subscription and select Manage.
    3. Select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the on-screen steps.
    4. If Turn on recurring billing is shown instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire on the listed date and will not renew.

If cancellation options are not visible, verify the correct account is being used and that the subscription was not purchased through a third party. If it was, contact that retailer to manage billing.

If a refund is needed, cancel first, then check eligibility using the refund guidance in the referenced article.
