How can I install Office?

If you already redeemed this product key, sign in to Microsoft account dashboard with the account used to redeem it and install or reinstall Office.

How can I redeem a shared subscription?

If the subscription owner shared this product key with you, ask them to send you an invitation instead.

I don't remember the email adress I used in 2023, I need to change the account to reinstall Microsoft 365 on my laptop: how can I do that?

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. To add to the above, may I check and confirm if you are the main owner of the subscription or you are a member of the family/shared subscription? Have you checked your email account/s to see if there is an email trace with regards to Microsoft 365?

The product key cannot be used again or moved to a different Microsoft account. Once redeemed, the key is permanently tied to the Microsoft account that was used at the time.

To install or reinstall Microsoft 365 in this situation, the only supported option is to sign in with the same Microsoft account that redeemed the key:

1. Go to the Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services/
2. Try signing in with any Microsoft accounts that might have been used (different Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or other email addresses).
3. When the correct account is used, the Microsoft 365 or Office product will appear there, and Office can be installed from that page without a product key.

If the account cannot be identified or accessed, the product key cannot be reassigned to a new account, and a new subscription or license must be purchased.

For help finding the correct account, use the guidance in “I forgot the account I use with Microsoft 365” from the referenced documentation.
