How do I turn on View Gridlines in New Outlook?

I'd like to view gridlines when I have a table in an email I am sending. Not borders, just the dotted lines that help with editing. This is a feature in other Microsoft products, and used to be a findable feature in Outlook. I cannot find it in New Outlook or find it online. Does it still exist?

View gridlines for tables while composing is not available in New Outlook for Windows.

Classic Outlook supports similar layout aids (for example, the horizontal ruler and table gridlines in Word), but the New Outlook client does not currently expose a “View Gridlines” option for email tables. Only actual table borders can be shown.

To use gridlines while editing tables, compose the message in Classic Outlook or Word, then paste or send from there.
