How to make it so group me sees my phone number as valid.

Hi, I'm trying to create a GroupMe account but when i put my phone number in the system marks it as not a valid number. My phone number is connected to multiple Microsoft accounts already and it is valid so why is this happening?

GroupMe may mark your number as invalid if it is not a mobile number that can receive SMS, or if it is a VoIP or landline type, since these are not supported. It can also happen when the same number is linked to several Microsoft accounts, which may cause verification limits. You can try removing your number from any unused Microsoft accounts by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com and updating your phone details, then try again. It also helps to check with your mobile carrier to make sure SMS short codes are allowed and to avoid using a VPN during registration, as this can affect the validation process.
