    Hi, I'm John!

Did you receive a receipt email from Microsoft for the March 8 charge?

If yes, what Microsoft 365 plan does it show?

Sometimes a trial is started under a different Microsoft account, which creates a second subscription.

You can check and cancel it here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

The second Microsoft 365 charge can usually be handled by cancelling the extra subscription and then checking if it is eligible for a refund.

Follow these steps for a home Microsoft 365 subscription that was purchased directly from Microsoft:

    1. Cancel the unwanted Microsoft 365 subscription
      1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was charged.
      2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription that corresponds to the new/duplicate charge and select Manage.
        • If it shows Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage, that subscription is already set to expire and will not be charged again.
      3. On the next page, select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on what is shown).
      4. Scroll through and follow the on‑screen steps to complete cancellation.
    2. Check refund eligibility
      • Refund eligibility is evaluated after cancellation. Not all cancellations result in a refund.
      • In some countries (for example Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Turkey), cancelling may entitle to a prorated refund depending on the subscription length and local policy. Details are in the refund policy and the list of countries with prorated refunds referenced in the documentation.
    3. If the subscription was bought through a third party
      • If the duplicate Microsoft 365 subscription was purchased via Google Play, Apple App Store, Amazon, Best Buy, or another retailer, Microsoft cannot cancel or refund it directly.
      • In that case, contact the retailer’s support (for example, Google Play or Apple support) to cancel and request a refund, following their refund policies.
    4. If the charge still looks incorrect or a refund does not appear
      • Go to the Manage your payments page from the documentation to investigate the charge and confirm it is tied to the correct Microsoft account.
      • If further help is needed (for example, multiple overlapping subscriptions or unclear charges), use the Contact Support option described in the documentation so a billing agent can review the account and charges.

Cancelling the extra subscription will stop future renewals; any refund depends on the cancellation timing, country, and how the subscription was purchased.
