Hi MSN Money Android Development Team,

I am experiencing a persistent authentication failure on the MSN Money Android application. The login flow successfully accepts my credentials, but fails at the final stage during the token handoff back to the app, resulting in a "Something went wrong" screen.

Here are the specific troubleshooting details generated by the app during the crash:

  • Correlation Id: f582f04c-1fd5-4dee-b3ac-c98d5d158765
  • Timestamp: 2026-03-09T22:59:30.000Z
  • DPTI: e0e7cce7b6ed8976
  • Error Tag: 965yb
  • Error Code: 0

Screen shot attached with error details: - Note this is 3rd time i tried after few days Gap

Standard tier-1 troubleshooting (clearing the app cache/data and attempting a fresh login) has not resolved the issue. It appears the token handoff is being interrupted at the system level.

Email id used for MSN Money app Registration = ******@outlook.com

My Smart Phone Model & Android version: Motorola Edge 60 Pro ,  Android Version = 16 , with Latest Secuity Patch

Could you please check the backend logs for this specific Correlation ID to identify what is blocking the final authentication handoff? and Fix this issue for my email id please

Thank you,

Rakesh Misra

Backend logs and correlation IDs cannot be accessed, and account-specific fixes (such as changing settings for a specific email address) cannot be performed.

For MSN Money sign-in and account issues, the documented guidance is to verify the account status and any error codes directly in MSN Money:

    1. Go to the MSN Money website: https://www.msn.com/money.
    2. Sign in using the same Microsoft account used in the Android app.
    3. Check the account status and any error codes shown there. These error codes indicate whether the issue is with the MSN Money account itself or with the financial institution connection.
    4. If an account-related error code (for example, -4002 through -4011) is shown for a connected financial institution, follow the prescribed action (typically contacting the financial institution to resolve account, PIN, authorization, or currency issues).

If the website works but the Android app still fails after clearing cache/data and reinstalling, the next step is to open a support ticket or use in-app/portal support so the product team can investigate using the correlation ID and DPTI in internal logs.
