On Windows 10, Microsoft Store can be blocked or hidden by settings, policies, or account configuration. Try these steps in order:

1. Confirm Microsoft Store is present and not just unpinned
   • Select Start and in the search box on the taskbar type Microsoft Store.
   • If it appears, select it to open.
   • To keep it handy, right‑click the result and choose Pin to Start or More > Pin to taskbar.
2. Make sure a Microsoft account is being used
   • If signed in with a local account, Microsoft Store might not be available.
   • Sign in with a Microsoft account on the device, then search for Microsoft Store again.
3. Check if an administrator or policy has disabled the Store
   • On work/school or managed devices, the Store can be turned off by the administrator.
   • If this is a work or school PC, contact the IT admin and ask if Microsoft Store has been disabled.
   • If when opening Store a message appears that it’s blocked by the system administrator or a similar policy message, an admin must remove or adjust that policy (for example, AppLocker rules or the RemoveWindowsStore policy) so Store and Store apps are allowed.
4. If Store opens but apps cannot be installed
   • Follow the basic troubleshooting steps:
     • Reset the Store cache: press Windows key + R, type wsreset.exe, select OK, wait for the window to close and Store to reopen.
