How can log in to my microsoft account if I can't remember what account I use for my authenticator app?

To sign in when the Microsoft Authenticator account is unknown, use the standard Microsoft account recovery options instead of Authenticator.

1. If the problem is that the Microsoft account username (email) is forgotten, use the Look up your Microsoft account option described under "Forgotten your email or username". This lets the Microsoft account system help find the correct account.
2. If the password is forgotten, use Reset your password and follow the prompts to verify identity with available methods (email, phone, or other security info) instead of the Authenticator app.
3. If the username is known but sign-in fails or the account is not recognized, follow the guidance under My username has stopped working and, if needed, use the Sign-in Helper tool to troubleshoot sign-in.
4. If none of the verification options work and access to the backup or recovery account is also lost, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper and the Microsoft account recovery form to try to regain access. If recovery of the backup account itself is required, follow the sign-in helper path for that backup account first.

Once access to the Microsoft account is restored, Authenticator can be set up again or accounts can be re-added in the app as needed.
